A few matches have been played over the Christmas holiday period and shock of the bunch is the Buck Hotel C beating Llanbadarn in the Gordon Price Cup. Conceding a 4-0 handicap is never easy, but the Buck lads did well to win two out of the first three frames and finally won the last frame against the formidable partnership of Paul Robinson and Dave Morgan, the former Doubles Champions. Elliot Evans and Llyr Lewis were the heroes for the Buck.
The Lion progressed in the main cup, beating Dragon Extremists 5-, whilst their colleagues, Lion A, also won, beating the Bell B 5-4 in the Consolation Cup. The Nomads overcame Cambrian B in the League Cup, beating them 5-0. Upper House A had a comfortable 5-1 win over Second Division outfit, Shuttle Bs'tards.
Also in the Consolation Cup, the Herbert A disposed of their Courthouse hosts, beating them 7-4 and making light work of their handicap. Two in-form Third division sides faced each other at Upper House B with their Queens Head A visitors coming out on top 5-3.
In the League, the Full Montys beat the Nomads 6-4 to stay well in contention in 4th spot, whilst the Bettws v Squashed Grapes game was finally played resulting in a draw which deprived second placed Grapes of a vital point as they now trail the Herbert, Chirbury by two points.
