2009 FINALS DAY RESULTS AT A GLANCE
|
9-BALL TOURNAMENT POSTPONED DUE TO UNFORESEEN ISSUES Unfortunately we have had to postpone the 9-ball tournament due to the Football Club's Social Committee having organised Sport Relief events which are likely to clash with the Pool tournament. They are holding a quiz in the bar area and all the runners from the Sport Relief Mile will be coming into the Club when the tournament would have been going on. There will still be a pool tournament but it will be a low key, one frame competition for small prizes.
Apologies for the people, about twenty five so far, who have entered. Your entry fees can be returned, or you can leave them in for the new date which will be worked out shortly
Mixed Doubles and Threesomes must be played this week please The updated draws for each competition are in this week's Pool Press and are always up to date on our website.
Results all entered from last weekend All the results have been entered from last weekend and the full stats will follow in the next day or so Buck Inn A Expelled From League The League Committee decided to expel the Buck Inn A following two successive failures to travel to away games at Red Lion and Courthouse.
Problems at Flying Shuttle Cause Red Dragon to move to Queens Head and Sportsmans Team decide to Fold The Flying Shuttle Landlord was forced to ask the Dyssil Boys visitors, which contain several Under 18 players, to leave last week when they turned up to play the Sportsman. He pointed out to them that his Licence did not permit them to remain in the pub after 8pm. As a result the Red Dragon and Sportsmans needed to look for a new venue after they had already seen their original pubs closed down. The Sportsmans decided they were having too much trouble raising a team each week and have folded, with most of them going to other teams, whilst the Red Dragon have decided to play out of the Queens Head. DIVISION THREE TEAMS, PLEASE TAKE NOTE.
