FINALS DAY WILL BE ON SUNDAY, AS PLANNED BUT AT ELEPHANT & CASTLE INSTEAD
Sincere apologies for the confusion over the past week, but the League has been badly let down by Newtown Football Club. Following representations from several people/teams, it has been decided to change the venue of Finals Day, rather than its date!
Our Chairman, Phil Jones has done a lot of work ringing all the prospective finalists to judge their availability for switching the event to the Bank Holiday Monday, but even just one person unable to make Finals Day meant that a switch could not take place.
A great deal of help is now required to set up Finals Day on the Saturday afternoon, Sunday Morning and Monday sometime. We will need four vans with a team of three with each van to carry the tables to the Elephant on the Saturday afternoon as they are all being recovered on the Saturday morning. We will need helpers to set everything up on the Sunday morning at 9.30am and then the same teams will be needed to remove the tables on Monday sometime.
Many volunteers are therefore needed to offer assistance! Please contact Owen or Phil and some new faces would be nice to see, rather than the same workers.
