CURRENT TABLES AND WEEK'S RESULTS Premiership Leaders Lose To The Grapes Providing For A Dramatic End To Season
Playing their postponed match from a week ago, The Grapes took the big gamble of playing without Peter Harris who is on holiday skying, but despite the loss of an influential player, they triumphed 7-3 at home to League Leaders, The Elite. Surprisingly, their star player, Dale Jarman was the only man to lose in the first session which included two 7-ballers. Tim Owen sealed the win, beating Paul Allen with 2/2 wins going to Tim and Jamie Mayers.
Whilst the Grapes obviously gained from this fine performance, the biggest benefactors will be The Lion who are now level with the Elite, whilst the Grapes stay third and three points behind the leaders. In the next two weeks, Mike Williams' Elite side will be up against the Waggon, who turned them over in the first half of the season, and then Llanbadarn who will be out to prove a point or two! It is never over until the fat lady sings! Have the Elite got the jitters?
