10yrs Old Connor Davies Wins Place in Welsh Squad for World Championships

Ten years old, but full of confidence, young Connor Davies travelled to Swansea today to compete in trials for the Welsh Junior side. He was successful and will now be one of the youngest players to represent his country at Junior level in the World Championships to be held at Bridlington in March 2008.

Huge congratulations to Connor and to his proud parents, Alan and Louisa Davies. Connor will be playing in the Wales Junior side, alongside the very successful Drew Hughes who Captains the Wales Youth side. If Connor can emulate the success enjoyed by Drew, his parents will be very happy.

Drew is playing for the South Powys "B" County side along with his father, but cannot play in the Newtown League because he is under the 14yrs age restriction that was voted on at last  year's AGM.
