Newtown Pool League; "Playing Premier Pool in Powys"
"Drew Ropean" Champion in Under 21s and Adult Singles Competitions.
Newtown Pool League's current Mens and Under 18s Singles titles, Drew Hughes was last week proclaimed the European Mens and Under 21s Singles Champion after working his way through a record Singles entry at the European Championships in Selsey on Sunday.
It is the first time this phenominal feat has been achieved as a youngster of 18yrs of age is simply not expected to win the Mens Singles title against a strong field.
Drew was up against a senior French player in the final and went on to hammer him 6-2, a score line which included four 7-ballers from Drew.
Many congratulations from Newtown Pool League to Drew on a truly excellent achievement - may it be the first of many great titles you attain.
