CURRENT TABLES AND WEEK'S RESULTS Elite Reclaim Premier League Championship, But Only Just!
Mike Williams' Elite side needed a point against their Herbert A visitors and only just scraped it after trailing 5-3, but they came back to get the draw they wanted. It didn't really matter though, as the Robins dished out a 7-3 stuffing to Championship hopefuls, The Lion. So the Grapes finish second! County Times Report here.
Herbert Chirbury Claim Promotion to Premiership Congratulation to Gary Gindrat's Herbert side who clinched the Second Division title last night by beating Bettws, 6-4. Both they and their Squashed Grapes challengers have another fixture to play this week, but that is now immaterial as they cannot be caught, even though the Grapes also won last night. Dolau Inn are third after they also won.
Bellenders Already Division Three Champions - Bucanneers Hope to Keep Runners Up spot. The Bellenders end their season against Queens Head B tomorrow night (Tues) with the Queens B hoping to get third spot, currently occupied by Courthouse who beat Sarn 8-2. Bucanneers won 7-3 at the Herbert and are second for now, but could be overtaken on aggregate if the Queens B defeat the Bell (match played at Bell).
North Powys County The County lads slipped to a 21-15 defeat at the hands of South Powys at Brecon yesterday afternoon. Despite being just one behind going into the last session which they lost 7-2. Nigel Owen had the Man of the Match Award.
