Newtown Pool League;  "Playing Premier Pool in Powys"

Jimmy White Snooker Night

All Statistics Updated For Sunday 14th October

There are still a couple of match result sheets outstanding, but all the results have been added at this stage and the league tables etc., are all accurate.

Elite power on at the top of the Premiership as they beat the on-form Grapes 7-3. Upper House A failed to capitalise on a fragile Llanbadarn, who will now have to be known as Dolfor Inn, from where they will play for the rest of the season. Llanbadarn beat them 8-2. The Buck are still without a win after losing to Football Robins, but the Nomads are slipping perilously close to the bottom after being thrashed 9-1 by Argae B. Terry's Full Montys fell to earth with a bump after losing to The Lion 7-3, so it is results as normal in this division.

Division Two saw the big clash at the Dolau where Bettws lost their first point of the season, drawing with the Dolau. Squashed Grapes had a strange night, but the upshot was a 9-1 win. Herbert Chirbury stay top after beating Red Lion 6-4.

Division Three saw both league leaders drop points with the Queens Head A drawing away to the Buck Inn B who will need to rename themselves now they have chosen to play out of the Football Club. The new venue spelt ill-luck for the Queens, drawing 5-5, but there was even worse news for the other league leader, Bellenders who lost 6-4 at home to The Flying Shuttle. Upper House B climb up to second place after their 6-4 win over Buck Hotel B and another point for the Herbert Honeys from their short trip to Sarn where they drew.
