Superb Lion's Pride Results Save Them from Demotion - Red Lion Take the Fall Instead

Getting some decent results from their last four league games has handed the Lion's Pride their Premiership existence, something they badly wanted to keep. Equally, their Red Lion opponents at the bottom of the table also wanted to stay up, but despite beating the dependable Herbert A side, 7-3 they lost out on 18 aggregate points because of the Lion's superb 7-3 win away to 5th placed Upper House A.

Keeping the score to 6-4 against Llanbadarn and The Lion, and beating the Nomads 7-3 in their previous three games ensured the Lion's Pride finish just above the Red Lion, who, unless a team withdraws, will play in Division Two next season.  (Full table click here)        17/4/07  0920hrs
