The Pot-of-Gold is an award presented weekly to a player in each of the three Divisions. A certificate and a cheque for a Fiver goes to the player who wins the Pot of Gold challenge. The maximum number of wins a title holder can have in succession is FIVE, then the title automatically passes on to his opponent in the sixth week, whether that opponent wins or loses the match. If the opponent loses and inherits the title, he or she will not get a cheque.

At the start of the season a team is picked from the hat to begin as holders of the title, and the first drawn player for that team competes against his drawn opponent. Whoever wins, takes the title and the cheque. The following week that same player defends his title. If he wins he keeps it and gets another cheque, if he loses, then the winner becomes the title holder and goes on to defend it the following week. If the holder cannot defend his title one week because he is absent, then the first drawn of his team takes over the challenge on his behalf, and if he wins, he keeps the title.
