Llanbadarn Lose Their Venue As New Inn Closes For Now

Ed Lewis' Llanbadarn outfit, who have been running through a little bad patch with their results, received some more bad news when they were told late yesterday that Llanbadarn's pub, the New Inn, is to close temporarily, but nobody knows for how long at the moment.

The team have decided to play out of the Dolfor Inn, which has recently re-opened, and tonight they played their first match there against Upper House A and thoroughly enjoyed their move closer to town, as they beat Upper House 8-2!

The team are pleased with the welcome they received from the Landlord at Dolfor and with a nice new table in place, they will now play the rest of the season out of the Dolfor Inn.

Some of Llanbadarn's players are part of the South Powys County team which plays in the First Division of the Welsh Counties League and they also lost their County match today, and now need a decent win against Aberdare in their last match to avoid relegation to the Second Division which would put them in the same League as the Newtown side, which would mean both would have one less long journey to make!
