Newtown Pool League;  "Playing Premier Pool in Powys"

Jimmy White Snooker Night

Leaders All Win in All Three Divisions on Sunday

There are several team sheets not yet received, but all the results have been entered into the databases so clicking on the Statistics section will give you up to date tables etc.

The top sides in all the Divisions registered wins, but there are still shocks to talk about. In the Premiership, Marshall's Monty Men dished out the shock of the night by defeating champions, Llanbadarn 8-2, whilst the Grapes resurgence continues with another cracking win, 6-4 at home to The Lion. The Elite top the table though, getting a win that looks a lot more comfortable than it actually was, but they still beat the Nomads 7-3.

In Division Two, the Herbert Chirbury are still undefeated at the top of the table; they survived their trip to the Cambrian A, where their hosts have not shown the same sort of spirit that saw them whitewash the Red Lion two weeks ago! The Dolau won 6-4 against Jammy's Cambrian B pussy- cats, but Bettws are the side to watch and will be getting back to business shortly to play their two games in hand. They have a 100% win record so far. The Pheasant derby ended all square at 5-5, as did Red Lion v Dragon Extremists.

Division Three is still led by the Queens Head who have a two point frame difference lead over the Bellenders, with both teams on 7 points and unbeaten so far. Buck Inn B had a very fraught derby game with their table sharing colleagues, Buccaneers with the "B" team whitewashing their colleagues 10-0! A complaint has been registered against one of the Buck B players and action will be taken.
