Jimmy White Snooker Night

County Team Come Up Against An In-Form Torfaen Side

The County lads travelled down to Gwent today, bidding to improve on their third place position in the Second Division - but they found themselves up against a very determined Torfaen outfit. They lost the first two sessions 6-3, but won the first seven frames of the third session which put them just one frame behind, but from there it went seriously down hill as the home side put together three 7-ballers in the last session and won the match convincingly.

Steve Sherlock was voted as Man of the Match with 3/4 wins, but he was matched by a good performance from Mark Borland.

That puts an end to the County side's title challenge this season, but they have acquitted themselves well and will hopefully finish on a high at home to Cardiff next month.

Unlucky lads!
