County Side Get Excellent Win Against 2nd Placed Torfaen

Placed second and third in the League, Torfaen visited Newtown today and went away 20-16 losers to the Newtown team. With the bonus points added, Newtown won 22-16, but that six points advantage over Torfaen was not enough to wipe out the 14 point lead the visitors held over Newtown. So the league table remains unchanged, but whilst Newtown take on Cardiff next month, just one place off the bottom, Torfaen face the league leading Port Talbot - so a big win next month could well put Newtown right up with the leaders as a close game can be expected between the top two.

Today's Man of the Match was Drew Hughes who won 4/4.
