| 08/04/12 - Another disappointing result this month when the team travelled to Rhymney Valley Dragons,going down 20 16. We lost the first 2 sessions 6 3 and 7 2 respectfully putting us on the back foot, but a comeback in the 3rd winning it 6 3 put us in with a chance, however we only managed to win the last session 5 4 . Well done to Carl Guntrip for being awarded the man of the match winning 2 of his 4 frames. Mark Crees was our top scorer with 3 out of 4, 2 out of 4 also for Steve Davies, Mike Williams, Andy Coppin and Carl Williams. The match on May 13th has been postponed due to it clashing with Newtown Finals Day. |
| 11/03/12 - Another disappointing result in the county last sunday with the team going down 20 16 to league leaders Cardiff.We lost sessions1 and 2 by 6 frames to 3 and 5 frames to 4 respectfully, winning the third session 5 frames to 4 before losing the last session 5 frames to 4. Well done to Mark Crees for winning man of the match with 3/4. 3/4 also to Steve Davies and Carl Williams. Next match away to Rhymney Valley on April 8th. |
| 05/02/12 - The county team travelled to Newport on Feb 5th to play Pocket Legionaires. We were only able to take the bare 9 players to this fixture due to various circumstances. The team was very unlucky in a number of frames and didn't deserve the 23-13 defeat that occurred.Jason Bright was awarded the man of the match award for his 3 out of 4 performance, 2 out of 4 for Steve Sherlock and Johnny Jerman. Hopefully the team will do better in march when we entertain Cardiff at the Football club |
| 08/01/12 - Well done to the lads for a victory in our first game of the 2012 campaign,a 19 17 win,although we missed a combined 8 blacks between us(losing the frames aswell). Steve Davies was our only player to win all 4 of his games but man of the match went to Drew Hughes on 3/4, Carl Guntrip also won 3/4. We were trailing 16 12 but a great last session turned the match in our favour. |
